Can Diet Affect Depression?
I have come across some new research just published this year relating to depression and food.
There were two studies carried out. One looked at the diet (as in what you eat), and prevalence of people developing depression, and the second study looked at subjects who were already depressed and the effects of eating a particular way had on their condition.
More and more science is finding through studies that how we eat affects how healthy our body and mind are. The highly refined food that is eaten constantly, the typical western diet, has a long lasting unhealthy affect on the body and can alter your mood as well.
These two studies indicate that eating well can be beneficial to your mental health.
The age group of the first study is elderly, and the second covers a broader spectrum of ages.

Remember, a healthy happy mind leads to a happy healthy body, and the enjoyment of life to the fullest!
Eat well!
