Momentum Fitness
Many people over 50, particularly 60 and older do not want to go to a gym; it is daunting, noisy, and impersonal and doesn’t really cater to their needs. But, they want to do something to keep their fitness or start an exercise program to improve their health for their retirement.
This is where Momentum Fitness steps in and fills the gap.
I am not a Gym in the commercial sense. There is no joining fee and no contracts.
My passion is to help people stay fit and healthy throughout all stages of life, through functional exercises that replicate real life movements. Retaining muscle strength and mass and cardio fitness is essential to enjoy good health for life. Muscle mass and bone density decline as we age. Doing impact exercise and resistance training helps to retain or regain these essential components of a healthy body.
I offer exercise in a safe, private environment where every client is recognized as an individual with his or her own needs and health issues.
I address these issues and make sure that any exercise undertaken is done safely and is suitable for that person.
Our aim is to help people gain or regain fitness through functional exercise and movement – moves that replicate real life.
Reaching overhead, bending over and reaching behind are all movements that can become harder as we age. Training the muscles that support, stabilize and move the body so that it continues to work like a well-oiled machine is my aim.

My passion is to help people stay fit and healthy throughout life, particularly from 50 onwards.
I am a REPs registered Personal Trainer. I have a BSC in Chemistry, Diploma in Fitness Training and a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutritional Science. I am a certified pilates instructor and hold a current workplace firstaide certificate, which is regularly updated every 2 years.
I regularly attend courses, keeping up to date with current scientific knowledge in the areas of health, nutrition and exercise and body movement.
My focus is always on good posture, sound techniques and fundamental movement that helps us function in everyday life.
I work hand in hand with your physio to help rehab injuries and strengthen the body back to full health.
I am passionate about looking after ladies over 50 and ensuring that they get the best help and advice to continue through their retirement years as healthy and fit as is possible. Being able to see improvements in movement, reduction in pain levels and brighter happier healthier ladies gives me the greatest pleasure and I look forward to many more years looking after “my Ladies”.
